National Geographic Showreel

I've been working with 3monkeys and National Geographic for 12 years. They asked us to create a 3D design language that can work with their 2D brandguide. Every year we evolve their event branding and adapt for a fresh look. Explorers convene to present to shareholders and investors on their discoveries and inventions. Here is a montage of several recent festivals and award shows.

Edge of Government - Full installation highlighting global issues, 12 interactive presentations proposing solutions with AI assistance.

India Arie - I Am Light

Live motion graphics for India Arie's performance at the National Geographic Explorer's Festival. I was honored to create something with my team at 3Monkeys to compliment her powerful message.

Dynamic Gallery Template

Dynamic gallery updating through excel driven image selection. Conservation International had the ability to change images as the loop ran during the show.

World Species Congress -Reverse the Red

Our team was presented with a request to produce a 24 hour live virtual event with our agency partner e2k. Reverse the Red is a global company that protects endangered species in an attempt to reverse their direction towards extinction. We created 8 different biomes to immerse the live speakers during this global event over different timezones.

Small Business Promotion

I worked with Koble, a B2B platform connecting telecommunication companies, to create several promotional videos. They teamed up with Sprint to promote their connection between businesses.

Public Transport Campaign

I consulted and lead design and animation for the 'Muni Forward' campaign for the BART in San Francisco. Working with Circle, the creative agency, and the SFMTA Directors and Executives, we helped create a safer commuting experience for pedestrians and cyclists. I developed the design language, 3D models, renderings and animations.

Dynamic Graphics Loop

During many of the National Geographic Festival's there are messaging screens which require live updates. We created templates that could be seemlessly updated through an excel workbook. The client could also change the order of the templates or exclude certain ones all through excel. This made it easy to manage and smooth transitions between each template. the loop included a call to action with live social media data updating throughout the event. There was a dynamic gallery of the explorer's photography and conference agenda.

Brand Experience

Interactive Kinetic Sculpture, with Presentation Mode. Du is a telecommunications company, who wanted to create an attraction in the Dubai Mall that could also be controlled to present live.

A Calling: Civil Rights of Education

Working in New York, with e2k to create an immersive projected environment for XQ Institute, the Harry Belafonte Foundation and Spike Lee. We honored the Civil rights movement and their leaders.

We projected animated content for Leon Bridges and Quest Love. We also creating animated inspirational quotes and imagery for breakout screens in the venue.

Video Editing | 3D Elements

Conservation International conference strives to protect our earth. We had to create an engaging virtual conference with global speakers. This is one portion of the event presenting from the amazon.

Particles

A fun challenge of concepting ideas for Dubai's Expo 2020. We were postponed until 2021, but here's a look at one of the animations for promoting the event.

Previsualization on Stage

Working with our e2k partners to develop a stage for one of the National Geographic Festivals, I created an intro for the top of show to sell the event team and directors on our idea.

Broadcast

During the mostly virtual event years, our technical team created a setup in our warehouse to accommodate the need for so many shows to be exclusively online. I showcase how we run our virtual shows with in Ventuz and ingesting Zoom or Microsoft Teams feeds, and using Open Stage Control to operate.

Touch Application

For a larger event for the Museum of the Future in Dubai, UAE, I created a touch application to showcase the concepts of using using drones. A slider drove the changing animation sequence, which was one of 3 different touch experiences.

Live, Broadcast and show graphics operation

We worked with e2k to develop animated stage graphics for Wall Street Journal during one of The Future of Everything Festivals. I created content for speaker support, intros and housekeeping loops and also operated the live broadcast and stage graphics simultaneously.
